Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
Role overview
Provide technical leadership and engineering expertise across industrial and mechanical projects at Pranavom Consulting Inc. The role spans equipment assessments, maintenance program development, failure analysis, and regulatory compliance with WHMIS and WorkSafeBC standards. You'll also collaborate on internal software tools for asset management and liaise with contractors and suppliers on engineering deliverables. Overtime is paid at 1.5× per provincial regulations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct equipment assessments and recommend engineering solutions.
- Develop and maintain preventative and predictive maintenance programs.
- Perform root-cause and failure analyses on heavy-duty industrial machinery.
- Ensure compliance with WHMIS and WorkSafeBC regulatory standards.
- Collaborate on internal software tools for asset and maintenance management.
- Liaise with contractors and suppliers on engineering deliverables.
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience maintaining heavy-duty machinery.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- P.Eng. or EIT certification is considered an asset.
